The Chicago Cubs are chasing a World Series spot, everyone's connecting via video call - and the trailer for Jaws 19 is here...kinda
Today marks the day that Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel to in 1989's Back To The Future II - launching a wave of tributes all over the world.
October 21 hadn't even begun on this side of the world when a politician in Australia (where they're always living in the future, says you) arrived for work in a DeLorean. But that's merely the tip of the iceberg on a day where everyone is getting in on the act.
The film shows a 3D screening of Jaws 19 at a local cinema - and while Max Spielberg hasn't quite followed in his father's footsteps (and certainly not an additional 15 times) a trailer for the tragically non-existent film has been released.
Similarly non-existent are hoverboards - though even Christopher Lloyd is sorry about that one.
Though what did they get right? Well, for one the Chicago Cubs are in with a chance of clinching a spot in the World Series - granted, it will take just four games rather than the five declared on the front of the newspaper in the movie, but that's just nitpicking. We also have video calling, eye-scanning security technology and more.
And while self-tying shoes aren't happening yet, we spotted this tweet earlier - could something be in the offing? We're keeping our fingers crossed - and our laces untied...
.@realmikefox see you tomorrow.
