The duo is called Jack Gray. What else?
What do you get when you mix Black and White? A legendary collaboration! The two famous Jacks worked together on a song, as Jack Black confirmed during a Tenacious D concert in Nashville a few days ago. Now, the rock duo shared a video of the collaboration on YouTube.
The video is appropriately titled 'Jack Gray' and shows the meet up between Tenacious D and The Raconteurs frontman. Jack Black and his bandmate Kyle Gass first got a tour of White's Third Man Records Headquarter in Nashville, where they took pictures and chatted with the songwriter and producer.
But the meet up doesn't end there: "Now, we're heading over to Jack White's house to record a single. And me and Kage [Kyle Gass] have been working on a jam but it's not quite done, it needs a little work. But, I think, that's where Jack White's gonna come in and help us pull it over the finish line. That's what we're hoping anyways", Jack Black explains while on the way to White's home studio.
"This is a legendary collab. The D with Jack White. Everyone's been waiting for it", Black claims and he's not wrong. During the car ride, Tenacious D not only belt out Michael Jackson's 'Black Or White' but also White's arguably biggest hit with The White Stripes: 'Seven Nation Army'.

They weren't allowed to film inside the house but described the recording process of their new song as "magical", stating: "I'm still floating on cloud 9."
In June, Jack and Jack met at Heathrow Airport in London and shared a picture of the coincidental meeting on Tenacious D's Instagram, writing: "We hired a new merch guy".
