English singer-songwriter Jack Garratt today announces Jack Garratt At PizzaExpress Live In London, a forthcoming live album which drops on 5th July via PX Records, PizzaExpress’ record label.

The songs were recorded during a stint of intimate live performances at PizzaExpress Live Holborn earlier this year, featuring never-before-heard arrangements of his biggest hits and sees Garratt accompanied by a full band on record for the very first time.

Following the success of his debut album Phase in 2016, during a period which saw him top the BBC Sound OF poll and win the BRIT Critics Choice Award, Garratt has carved out his space in the music industry. A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose unique blend of jazz-inflected electronica, R&B and singer-songwriter anthems continues to quietly push boundaries.

Jack Garratt At PizzaExpress Live In London is the 10th live album released by the record label, and features songs from such records as Phase and the the 2020 follow-up Love, Death & Dancing.

The announcement is accompanied by the first taster ‘Surprise Yourself,’ the eighth track off Garratt’s debut album Phase.

"I've never played with a band before like this, I’ve never played these songs in these arrangements before,” says Garratt. “It's been such a formative and gorgeous experience getting to dissect these songs with my friends and play them like they're brand new in such a beautiful and intimate venue.”

Since its inception in Soho in 1976, PizzaExpress Live has built a reputation as one of the UK’s leading destinations for live music, presenting over 1,500 shows per year, including recent performances from McFly and Pixie Lott. PizzaExpress Live has also hosted a long line of musicians who have gone on to global stardom, including Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse and Gregory Porter.
