Following last night's stunning set from KTG, we're delighted to announce Jack O'Rourke as the latest act on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions – with a live performance on the Hot Press Instagram at 7.3opm tonight, April 19.

First coming to prominence with 'Silence', which became an anthem for the Irish marriage equality referendum, Jack went on to release his debut album Dreamcatcher to widespread acclaim – peaking at No.5 in the Irish album charts.

The Cork musician has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in Irish music – including Glen Hansard at Other Voices; the Irish Chamber Orchestra at Vicar St; vocals with Imelda May, Hot House Flowers and Bell X1; and joining the Freezer Room ensemble at Electric Picnic with the likes of Wallis Bird and Tracy K. 'New Day', his collaboration with electronic producer Kormac, meanwhile, has clocked up almost half a million views on YouTube to date.

Jack is currently working on his next album, following the release of his critically acclaimed Ivory Towers last year. He's also been keeping himself busy during lockdown with a stunning cover of 'Hello In There', in tribute to John Prine.
