The former White Stripes frontman says he will play last-minute shows mostly in “small clubs” and “back yard fetes.”
Jack White has shared his plans for his unconventional No Name tour, announcing he will mostly be playing intimate gigs.
It follows a string of intimate shows recently in support of his surprise sixth studio album, which was given a wider release earlier this month.
No Name was rated an 8/10 by Hot Press, calling it “the best thing [White]’s done since taking over the mainstream with 'his sister' Meg two decades ago.”
The former White Stripes frontman revealed in an Instagram post on Tuesday that his tour would be taking him to “small clubs, back yard fetes and a few festivals.”
He explained that the recent small shows are part of a wider unconventional tour, saying; “Lotta folk asking about when we are going to announce ‘tour dates’, well, we don’t know what to tell you but the tour already started at the Legion a couple of weeks ago.

“People keep saying that these are ‘Pop up shows’ we’ve been playing, well, you can call them whatever you want, but we are on tour right now.
“These are the ‘shows’,” he continued. “We won’t really be announcing dates in advance so much.
Regarding tour dates, White clarified that “shows will be announced as close to the show date as possible, some shows we won’t even decide to do until that morning.”
