Jackie Hayden and Peter Murphy, whose work will be familiar to Hot Press readers, are among the key attractions for the forthcoming Write By The Sea writing and reading festival, which takes place at the Stella Maris Centre in Kilmore Quay, Wexford from September 23-25, 2016.

Hayden (pictured above), who co-wrote the No.1 best seller My Boy with Philomela Lynott, is involved in two events. On Saturday he will present his Dylan, Dylan and Me talk, in which he explains how he discovered Dylan Thomas via The Beatles and Bob Dylan. He has already delivered this talk at various venues in Ireland, Wales and Sweden. On Sunday he will conduct live interviews with the chart-busting authors Paul O’Brien and Cat Hogan.

Murphy is also involved in two events, both on the Saturday. In one session the noted novelist and musician, whose debut novel John The Revelatory was widely praised, will read from his work, and will later run a workshop entitled If You Want To Write, Write.
