Jacknife Lee has worked as a producer with both U2 and R.E.M.
Dublin born producer Jacknife Lee is gearing up to drop his collaborative album The Jacknife Lee. It is slated for release on June 26th, but Lee has just dropped a single to tease the record, called 'I'm Getting Tired'. Lee is one of the industry's most sought-after producers, currently with his name on Jack Garratt's forthcoming record, as well as work for Snow Patrol, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Taylor Swift.
Featuring the voice talents of Def Jam singer Earl St. Clair and Beth Ditto, the single is a commentary on the state of the world at the moment, and the video combines everything from news headlines and footage to influencer culture.
The album will feature Bibi Bourelly, Genesis Owusu, Petite Noir and more. Of 'I'm Getting Tired', Lee says: “I’d become obsessed with 'Attica Blues' by Archie Shepp from 1972. The intensity is relentless. It’s for the head, heart and feet. It has dissent imbedded in its DNA. I wanted to reach even a little bit of that when I started this track".
