Jafaris will perform at Button Factory on May 3.
Dublin-based hip-hop artist Jafaris has announced he will be performing at Button Factory on May 3.
Percy Chamburuka aka Jafaris is Zimbabwe born and Dublin raised. The rapper, actor and dancer released his first EP Velvet Cake in 2017 following his role in Oscar-winning filmmaker John Carney's Sing Street as Ngig. As a modern hip-hop artist, Jafaris combines rap, an array of beats, raw melodies and singing, citing the likes of J. Cole, Anderson Paak and Kendrick Lamar as influences.
In 2016, Jafaris hooked up with Diffusion Lab, a music production refuge on Wellington Quay that’s seen a bunch of Dublin’s remarkable talent come through its doors including Soulé, Flynn, Rushes, DAY_S, All Tvvins and Hare Squead to name a few. Since joining the team, the triple threat has gone on to become a knockout performer.
