The intimate new event series promises to blend together great whiskey, fresh musical talent, and timeless classic records - starting with Dublin rapper Nealo.
Nealo will be the first artist to take the stage in Jameson Black Barrel newly announced series of events, Classic Album Nights.
Kicking off on December 1st at Dublin's The Workman’s Club, each gig will feature an artist discussing one of their favourite classic albums - as well as treating the audience to a unique interpretation of a few of the record's tracks.
“It’s amazing to be able to perform live music again, let alone perform songs from one of the greatest albums of all time," said Nealo. "This will be something completely different to what I have performed before. I hope those who come to see it like what we’ve done, we’re excited to see people’s reactions.”
Nealo's record choice has yet to be revealed, though it has been teased as one of the most beloved and influential rock albums of all time. The Dublin-native will also discuss his broader musical influences and how they helped shape his own sound.
Soda Blonde's frontwoman Faye O’Rourke will be presenting the event. The quartet themselves will be performing later that month, taking on Whelan's on December 9th and 16th - the second date having been added due to high demand.

“This is going to be a really special evening," Faye O’Rourke added. "It’s such an influential album, even now, it continues to inspire musicians across so many different genres. I can’t wait to chat with Nealo about its influence on him and the arrangements that he’s come up with. It’s going to be unmissable.”
The rapper celebrated the one-year anniversary of his acclaimed neo-jazz hip-hop album All The Leaves Are Falling last month.
