The presenting partners are uncharacteristically in agreement for once.
Jeremy Clarkson and James May have weighed in on the Brexit debate. They are the latest in a long line of celebrities including David Beckham, Brian Eno and Bob Geldof who will be voting for the UK to remain a part of the European Union.
In a video posted online today the former Top Gear hosts spoke in front of a map of Europe with May saying the pair have "put aside the normal policy of our TV show and our relationship and agree on something. Apart from that the Ford Mondeo is a good car". Aside from the Ford Mondeo and sandwich spread the TV hosts agree on remaining in the EU.
They also argue that if the UK were to leave the EU it would make it incredibly difficult for the them and co host Richard Hammond to make their new motoring show the Grand Tour for Amazon.
To facilitate the filming of a programme such as theirs it would take "a pile of paperwork almost big enough to build a bridge" across the English Channel. "That's why we don't film in Switzerland, it's a waste of time. Well Switzerland is already a waste of time", Clarkson adds before the two disagree over the quality of Swiss Army knives. May have also been actively tweeting the symbiotic relationship Britain does currently will continue to enjoy if they vote to remain.
