The annual show is part of a major celebration of the life, music and legacy of Daniel Johnston
Hosts Jerry Fish and MayKay have revealed their special guests for the 2025 edition of Hi How Are You Day – coming to The Grand Social in Dublin on Sunday, January 26.
Set to join the pair on the night – centred around the music of the late singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston – are Junior Brother, Mundy, Anamoe Drive, Cat Dowling, and John Byrne, with more to be announced.
Proceeds from the gig are going to the Irish Youth Foundation, and the Hi How Are You Project.
Since 2020, Dublin's Hi How Are You Day has celebrated the music of the Daniel Johnston, and encouraged new conversations around positive mental health and well-being. Events also take place around the world under the Hi How Are You banner.
In November, Jerry Fish released Dreaming Of Daniel – an album, featuring MayKay, inspired by the performances at the Hi How Are You Day concerts in Dublin. The project – which scored a nine-star review in Hot Press – debuted at No.1 on the Independent Albums Chart, and No.6 on the Irish Albums Chart.
