The album has also debuted at No.6 on the Irish Albums Chart.
Following the release of Jerry Fish's Dreaming Of Daniel, featuring MayKay, last week, the album has soared straight to No.1 on the Independent Albums Chart, and No.6 on the Irish Albums Chart.
Since 2020, Jerry Fish has co-hosted Dublin's annual 'Hi, How Are You Day' on January 22, to celebrate the music of the late Daniel Johnston, and to encourage new conversations around positive mental health and well-being. Dreaming Of Daniel is inspired by the performances at those concerts.
The album scored a 9-star review in Hot Press, with Will Russell stating that "merely labelling the 13 tracks on Dreaming Of Daniel as covers really does them a disservice – channelling as they do, the originality, brilliance, poignancy and transcendent nature of the lord of lo-fi himself, the legend that was Daniel Johnston."
Dreaming of Daniel is followed on the Independent Albums Chart by Fontaines D.C.'s Romance (No.2), Arctic Monkeys' AM (No.3), Frank Ocean's Blonde (No.4), and KNEECAP's Fine Art (No.5).

Over on the Irish Albums Chart, the only other new entry in the Top 10 is Linkin Park's From Zero at No.2, behind Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet, which continues its reign at No.1.
