Listen to the second single from the rising Irish star now.
Following the success of 'Champagne & Caviar' earlier this year, Jess Young is back with a stunning new track, 'I Don't Need You To Love Me'.
Back in February, the Irish-born, London-based rising star showcased her fearlessly honest and clever approach to songwriting on her glittering debut single 'Champagne & Caviar' – with lyrics that boldly explored the concept of sexual capitalism.
Like her debut, 'I Don't Need You To Love Me' was written during the time in Jess's life that she spent in a woman's refuge in London, following an abusive relationship.
"I wrote the song about how you don't need anyone to love you if you can find that respect for yourself," she explains. "If you have that, you have everything. It was the first song I ever wrote about the abusive relationship I'd been in just a few months previously and it was the first time I'd ever been able to let myself feel angry about how I'd been treated. Cathartic is an understatement!"

Developing her unique blend of rock and electro-pop since 2017, Jess caught the attention of award-winning producer Tom Allom (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest), and multi-Emmy-nominated, three-times BAFTA-winning sound engineer Nigel Heath (Downton Abbey, Killing Eve). Her music has since been placed on primetime television worldwide.
