Australian rock band Jet have announced their first full UK and Ireland tour in 15 years, with the Irish gigs taking place in The Academy, Dublin on October 3 and The Telegraph Building, Belfast October 4.

Jet are best known for their song 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl', originally featured on Get Born, which reached number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the band's first top-40 hit and their highest charting single.

Currently in the middle of a sold-out tour of Australia, this will be Jet’s first time back in Ireland since 2009.
After being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame last year, they have just released ‘Hurry Hurry’ and are working on their long-awaited fourth album, which is set for release in 2025.
The single is currently only available on 7” vinyl, with ‘Un’avventura’, a rendition of Wilson Pickett’s version of a song originally by Lucio Battisti, to be found in the b-side, but will be available on streaming platforms in the near future.
Vocalist Nic Cester performs the song in both English and Italian as an acknowledgement to his life spent in Italy for the past 15 years.
Cester expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, saying that “Get Born was a rare and unique moment of total planetary alignment where we somehow managed to capture lighting in a bottle” and that they’re “all really excited to come back to the UK & Ireland for these shows.”
Their 2003 debut album, Get Born, surpassed more than 6 million sales and achieved Platinum status in the UK, and have since released two more albums, Shine On (2006) and Shaka Rock (2009).
Tickets for the shows, listed below, go on sale here from 10am on Friday, May 24.
