Items are valued around £ 150,000 and include other instruments used by music super-stars.
London-based Bonhams announced that they will auction a guitar and an electric guitar, valued at £ 150,000 in a market session on Thursday, December 15.
The guitar manufactured by the company Epiphone, belonged to Jimi Hendrix for almost three years and will be auctioned with an estimated price of between 80 and 120 thousand pounds (according to the catalog of the auction).
Hendrix bought this instrument at a second-hand store in New York for $ 25 reported Noel Redding, bassist for The Jimi Hendrix Experience group. Later, Hendrix gave the guitar to Alan Parker, one of the five components of the British band Blue Mink, in 1970.
But the guitar did not end its trip with Parker, it was used in several recordings by musicians such as former Beatles Paul McCartney and English singer David Bowie.
The second instrument is a Cloud Guitar - a model that the factory Schecter customized for Prince - which the auction house expects to raise between £ 25 and £ 30,000.
The black instrument was used by the artist during his 1993 tour and the current owner won it in a contest of the American broadcaster MTV.
The auction will also include an Imperial Bösendorfer piano - the largest model manufactured by the company Bösendorfer - which was used by the Queen, Coldplay and the singer Robbie Williams. The piano will be auctioned with an estimated price of between 20 and 30 thousand pounds.
A silk jacket worn by guitarist Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones will also be put up for sale valued at between £ 10 and £ 15,000.
