In the annual Best Of Dublin magazine the radio broadcaster tells Hot Press what he thinks about the city
Joe Duffy has acknowledged that there needs to less of a divide in Dublin. The veteran broadcaster and presenter is best known for his hugely popular radio interview and phone-in chat show 'Liveline', on RTÉ Radio 1 each weekday afternoon. He routinely draws in an audience of 387,000 listeners discussing political and social issues affecting people in Ireland and around the world.
When asked what Dublin needed less of Duffy made it clear what he thinks should be addressed. "Less of a divide between North and South, and more recognition by the city planners that a river runs through it and most people have to cross the Liffey daily."
In the annual Best Of Dublin magazine, Joe also discussed his favourite sights and areas in the capital. "The gate between Glasnevin Cemetery and The Botanic Gardens," he said.
Furthermore, Duffy mentioned that one of his most loved restaurants in the capital was "Forty One on St Stephen's Green." The broadcaster was very impressed by the talented cook. "Graham Neville, a young hard-working local chef, has created something wonderful there at a surprisingly keen price."
