A performance at the National Concert Hall has also been announced to celebrate the album's release.
Composer, musician and producer Joseph Chester has announced his next album, Au Revoir Tristesse, set for release on June 13 via Bohemia Records.
The record is inspired by Bonjour Tristesse, a novel by French author Françoise Sagan and features five classical guitar tracks. It was commissioned by Axis Ballymun and the Arts Council of Ireland.
"Au Revoir Tristesse is a homage to sadness in five moments," Chester said. "Our society is constantly telling us that if we are not happy that something must be wrong."
"But in fact, to live a full life, we must feel the whole spectrum of human emotions," he added.
Chester will celebrate the album's launch with a performance at the National Concert Hall's Kevin Barry Room, also on June 13.
