The Irish singer was the first person to ever win two Eurovision titles
Irish singer Johnny Logan is set to return to the Eurovision stage this year as an interval act.
Logan was the first person to ever win two Eurovision titles with his hit songs ‘What’s Another Year’ (1980) and ‘Hold Me Now’ (1987). He also wrote ‘Why Me’, Linda Martin’s winning song for Ireland’s 1992 entry.
For this year’s edition of the song context, Logan will be the first interval act in the semi-final on May 7.

The announcement comes amid heightened tensions surrounding Israel’s participation in the Eurovision over its military campaign in Gaza.

Bambie Thug, Ireland’s entry for 2024, has been encouraged to boycott the contest following consistent calls on the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to remove Israel from the competition
The singer responded by saying that "stepping back now would mean one less pro-Palestinian voice at the contest"
A petition has also been delivered to RTÉ urging the broadcaster not to televise Eurovision.
The Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place in Malmo, Sweden from May 7-11.
