The Australian singer-songwriter plays a headline show at The Button Factory with special guest Angie McMahon.
Just months after her stellar Whelan's gig, Julia Jacklin has announced that she will be returning to Dublin, for a headline show at The Button Factory on November 28.
Crushing, Jacklin's latest album, was released in February, to critical acclaim. The Australian singer-songwriter spoke to Hot Press about the release, which followed 2016's Don't Let The Kids Win.
“This album’s been different than last time, because the songs do feel heavier to perform," she revealed. "And it’s not even just me performing them and bringing my own experiences to the stage every night. It’s more that I know now that a lot of people have really delved into this album and it’s brought up a lot of things for them. And so when I’m performing every night, I feel that pressure – that even if I’ve moved beyond that feeling, there are people out there who are going through it. I feel like I have to perform with everything I have, you know?”
Jacklin will be joined in Dublin by fellow Australian singer-songwriter Angie McMahon, who recently dazzled Irish fans at All Together Now. With a string of hit singles, McMahon has become one of the biggest name in Australian pop, releasing her debut album, Salt, last month.
