Songwriter Julie Byrne has returned with her newest release since the success of this year's LP The Greater Wings, a track off of an upcoming collaborative EP with Laugh Cry Laugh.
Titled Julie Byrne with Laugh Cry Laugh, the record features a cover and three new songs, including 'Velocity! What About The Intertia!?' which is out now. Laugh Cry Laugh is Julie Byrne, Taryn Black Miller, and Emily Fontana.
The work was completed in the winter of 2022 in Miller's apartment, and serves as an "intimate nod towards the singular type of romance that can find you in New York City at night - the sense that time is slowed, fluid, and simultaneous- to be with everybody and to be alone all at once."
The Greater Wings was released in July and has seen widespread acclaim in the months since. Hot Press' Ed Power reviewed the record, calling it a "moving and affirmative contemplation of grief."
Byrne, along with Laugh Cry Laugh, also announced a UK/Ireland tour, plus a run of Los Angeles dates in November. She will be visiting Limerick, Dublin and Belfast at the end of next month. Tickets are on sale now, and you can find out more about getting them here.
