Strange Brew and Out On A Limb Records have teamed up to release PowPig/Junior Brother, available both digitally and as a limited edition cassette.
Two of Ireland's most hotly tipped acts have joined forces to share the split EP, PowPig/Junior Brother. Released via their respective labels, Out On A Limb Records and Strange Brew, the project features new songs from PowPig, 'Mayday' and 'Pretty Woman', followed by two tracks from Junior Brother, 'The Back Of Her' and 'Full Of Wine'.
Genre-defying Limerick band PowPig, named one of Hot Press's Hot for 2019 Irish Acts, released their second EP, Buzz Buzz, in May 2018. Balancing school with their music career, the young group already count the Taoiseach among their rapidly growing fanbase. Junior Brother also had a busy 2018, tackling the festival circuit, playing his first shows abroad and releasing 'The Back Of Her' single and video. His debut album is expected later this year, and he recently announced that he will support The Proclaimers for all of their Irish dates in September.
As well as being available to download and stream now, PowPig/Junior Brother is also available as a limited edition cassette, which can be purchased here.
PowPig and Junior Brother have also announced several Irish shows, kicking off next month. The three-date tour will feature stops at Galway's Roisin Dubh (April 17), Dublin's Grand Social for MusicTown 2019 (April 18) and Limerick's Kasbah Social Club at Dolan's (April 19).
In a statement, PowPig expressed their excitement about the upcoming tour:

"We’re also VERY, VERY EXCITED to be touring with previously mentioned notorious bad boy Junior Brother on a WORLD WIDE TOUR, taking on Dublin, Galway AND Limerick!!! It’s lovely, as Junior Brother does indeed feel like our younger brother, despite being 70 years our senior, and it’s great to have such an amazing uncle to tour the world with."
