Music to raise spirits and money for the homeless
Irish songwriter Glen Hansard is set to play a charity gig at Coughlans in Cork on Monday December 19. The Dublin legend and star of the 2007 film Once will perform in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust.
The Peter McVerry Trust formed as an official organisation in 2005 under the supervision of Fr Peter McVerry. Aiming to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse, the charity provides numerous housing services and drug prevention outlets.
Glen has previously done shows in support of charities. In addition to the Peter McVerry Trust, he has raised money for the Dublin Simon Community.
