On May 20th, Irish five-piece Just Mustard will premiere a full-length concert film entitled ‘Live In Dreams.’
Emerging Dundalk rock outfit Just Mustard have announced their signing with Brooklyn and London-based Partisan Records - home to the likes of Fontaines D.C., Laura Marling, Fela Kuti and IDLES.
To celebrate the news, the noise band will premiere a brand new concert film Live In Dreams this Thursday, presented by Collective Films and directed by Greg Purcell.
Live In Dreams was taped at Dundalk Town Hall (An Táin Arts Centre), an independent arts space in the band’s hometown of Dundalk. The set will premiere via YouTube here, and feature new songs from the band’s soon-to-be-announced forthcoming sophomore album in addition to previously released material.
The County Louth five-piece will also headline a short UK and Ireland tour this October, starting off on October 18th in Bristol and concluding at Dublin's Grand Social on October 28th. Tickets for all dates go on sale this Friday, May 21st on Ticketmaster.
Just Mustard consist of vocalist Katie Ball, guitarists David Noonan (also backing vocals) and Mete Kalyon, bassist Rob Clarke, and drummer Shane Maguire. Their heady blend of noise, trip hop, and electronic-influenced music has helped them build a reputation as one of Ireland’s most thrilling new bands.
Their 2018 debut Wednesday earned acclaim at home and abroad – most notably capturing a Choice Music Prize nomination for Irish Album of the Year.

Their 2019 double A-side 'Frank / October' earned spotlights from KEXP and BBC Radio 1, after supporting Fontaines D.C. on their sold out 2019 UK tour, and emerging as a ‘band of the weekend’ at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival. Just Mustard were also handpicked by Robert Smith to support The Cure at Dublin’s Malahide Castle that same year, no less. Recent tracks that made an impact include 'Deaf', 'Seven' and 'Frank'.
It seems the group have impressed all the right people, stay tuned for more new music from the exciting act. Check out the trailer for Just Mustard's Live In Dreams below:
