In an Instagram post, Justin Bieber reflects on his past life and bad decisions.
In his early 20s, Justin Bieber made some fairly questionable choices, becoming one of the, let's just say, rather disliked celebrities. Yesterday, the pop star took to Instagram to share an emotional statement about how he turned his life around.
In the post, Bieber revealed that there was a time in his life when he lived in "a cycle of feeling disappointment after disappointment", to a point where he didn't "even want to live anymore". He writes: "You see, I have a lot of money, clothes, cars, accolades, achievements, awards and I was still unfulfilled."
Being a child when he first blew up didn't help either. "There is an insane pressure and responsibility put on a child who's brain, emotions, frontal lobes (decision making) aren't developed yet. No rationality, defiant, rebellious things all of us have to go through. But when you add the pressure of stardom, it does something to you, that is quite unexplainable."
Bieber explains that the ups and downs, that come with fame and pop stardom, lead him to make very bad decisions in his 20s: "I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships. I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry. I became distant to everyone who loved me and I was hiding behind a shell of a person that I had become."

However, Justin Bieber turned his life around in recent years, entering what he calls "the best season of his life": his marriage to Hailey Baldwin. He ends with an uplifting message to his fans: "All this to say, even when the odds are against you, kepp fighting".
