Dublin hip-hop artist JyellowL has announced a brand new headline show in Dublin’s Button Factory for Friday, November 18th 2022
The news follows last week's release of his latest collaboration with Chris Kabs, ‘No Joke’. In addition to producing the likes of Tolü Makay, Coolio, Hudis, JyellowL; Kabs has contributed music to Normal People, Fifa 20 and Ozone. He has just signed a licensing deal with Pure Sync Inc in London, which will see his music placed on wider global platforms. His new EP is due for release in 2023.
Born of Jamaican and Nigerian parents and raised in Ireland, JyellowL has drawn on all three cultures to create a distinctly powerful sound that is radically individual. The lyricism JyellowL delivers cuts to the heart of issues that are at once deeply personal and urgent on a global scale, driving political change.
His standout track ‘Ozone’ has surpassed 3.3 million streams on Spotify and the single ‘Oh Lawd’, featured on the soundtrack of hit Hulu/BBC Three series Normal People, has already surpassed 2.6 million views.
A self-driven artist and entrepreneur, his newly established JyellowL Records Ltd quickly landed a distribution deal with the international distribution company IDOL.
JyellowL released his critically acclaimed debut album 2020 D|vision which has recently been nominated for the Irish Album off the Year for 2020 at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Awards and debuted at No. 2 on the official iTunes album charts and No. 1 in the hip-hop category.

The next phase in his blisteringly fast rise is envisioned as 'Yellowszn'. Listeners can expect a series of EP's that JYellowL is calling shades of yellow and which will reveal and explore new sides to him musically that hasn't been shown before. Singles 'Appetiser', 'Ladies Night (Freestyle) and 'Body Bad' have all been part of the new JYellowL era.
The first EP track featured production from Nigerian hit-maker Tee-Y, who orchestrated the soundtrack behind lead single ‘See Me Finish’ and has worked with the likes of Davido, M.I., Tiwa Savage, and more. The slick production of Nigeria-based producer StevJazz, who is signed to Aristokrat records, also helped shape JYellowL's latest work.
