Tickets are available now for The Sound Of The Northside at The Everyman
Cork's Kabin Crew have announced a special show at The Everyman on Monday, July 22 – which will see them fusing the raw energy of hip-hop with the massive sound of the Irish National Opera orchestra.
The Sound of The Northside – a groundbreaking, one-night-only collaboration – is described as "a celebration of creativity and community."
Established back in 2012, the Kabin Studio is a not-for-profit hub of music and creativity, located in Knocknaheeny, in the northside of Cork City. The crew organise workshops, camps and projects for people from the local community, in a space filled with instruments and equipment for music production and recording.
“Reimagining the work, spoken word, and songs created by the young people has been incredibly inspiring, educational, and rewarding," comments Garry McCarthy, aka GMCBeats, Creative Director of The Kabin Studio. "This project pushes our boundaries and brings a theatrical element to our music, creating something truly unique.”
“We are so thrilled to be collaborating with such inspiring people," co-director Zoe Ní Riordáin adds. "Music like this can only be made in an environment full of love, support and hard work. The Kabin Crew with the INO orchestra is an unstoppable combination – don’t miss it.”
