The English group kick off their huge arena tour in London this weekend.
Kaiser Chiefs have released their first piece of new music in over two years, titled 'How 2 Dance'.
Almost two decades in the game, armed with an extensive back-catalogue of incredible singles, undeniable albums, and record-breaking success, Kaiser Chiefs triumphantly return with their brand new single, the first taste from their forthcoming new album.
Produced by Amir Amor, 'How 2 Dance' is Kaiser Chiefs like they've never been heard before. No one does indie-rock like the British quintet, however, their latest track definitely draws influence from outside their normal sound. Featuring the 1975 influence strongly in the opening section, the track also brings a certain, more alt Take That feel.
Speaking about the new track, frontman Ricky Wilson, said: “We really wanted to make a song that put together all the things we were trying to get right over the last three records. For the first time in a long time we have teamed up with the two guys who originally signed us to B Unique. They’ve watched us grow, seen our ups and downs, and in many ways understand us better than we do.”
Recently the band have appeared for a slew of note-worthy live-performances, including the Invictus Games opening ceremony, headlining Virgin Radio’s One Big Thank You show for key workers, and a televised performance for the Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee celebrations on ITV.
Kaiser Chief's last released a collection with Duck in 2019, which straddled the line between Northern-Soul euphoria and early ‘00s antithesis. 2022 sees Kaiser Chiefs stepping into a renewed spotlight; a hook-heightened universe in which Wilson, Andrew “Whitey” White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), keyboardist Peanut and Vijay Mistry (drums), unite once again to create breakthrough belters for the world’s dance floors.

“I hope to hear it at weddings, on the radio, and in the last remaining indie discos across the land,” Ricky continues. “It’s about letting go, not worrying about what other people think you should be doing. It may not be the smoothest of journeys, but sometimes you need a bit of turbulence to remind you that you are flying.”
