“We about to just control the sound of music, it’s up to us now, period,” the producer-rapper told DJ Premier in a FaceTime between the pair that has surfaced online.
Kanye West has revealed plans to share a new song this week featuring Pusha T, The Game and DJ Premier some time this week.
The track may arrive tomorrow (January 14). Ye spoke about the plans for the collaboration in a recorded FaceTime which designer Tracey Mills posted on Instagram.
West — who has legally changed his name to Ye — can be seen in a FaceTime conversation with DJ Premier accompanied by The Game, Pusha T and producer Mike Dean.

“We’re starting a whole… we about to just control the sound of music, it’s up to us now, period,” West said to Premier on the call.

“We got a song we’re releasing Friday that we wanted you to do a scratch on, if possible,” Ye said to Premier who said he wanted to collaborate on the currently untitled track. Mills also shared footage of A$AP Rocky who came into the studio to “bless the session.”

Kanye recently released the video for ‘Heaven and Hell’ from his recent record DONDA. The record was nominated for a Grammy under the Best Rap Album category and is set to receive a sequel record this year.
The superstar rapper has also been announced as one of the headliners for Coachella this year. Billie Eilish and Harry Styles are also set to top the bill at this year's festival.
