Dogstar originally formed in 1991 after Reeve’s and the trio’s drummer, Mailhouse, met by chance in a supermarket. The group’s original lead vocalist and guitarist Greg Miller joined in 1992, but departed after a short three year stint following their 1995 tour. Bret Domrose then took over from Miller, having joined the band in 1994 as a guitarist and backup vocalist. American rock outfit Weezer, best known for hits like ‘Island In the Sun’ and ‘Say It Ain’t So’ famously performed their first-ever live set in 1992 when supporting Dogstar.
