The mentalist admits that some of what happens in the new show is truly shocking.

Barry made headlines last year when a demonstration during one of his 8 Deadly Sins performances went wrong leaving him unconscious for a number of minutes.

"Sometimes people may actually be happy to see me fail!...However, I've become quite good at putting negative things to the back of my mind."

He recalls a moment from one of his January/February shows when a girl was under hypnosis.

"She started to contort her body in all kinds of weird fuckin' ways, speaking in tongues and trying to bite me!"

The Waterford-native believes that hypnosis is very underused in Ireland compared with the states.

"In America, in some instances, they use hypnosis to perform open heart surgery."
