Dolores was Lewis’ mentor on The Voice Of Ireland in 2014.
Limerick singer Kellie Lewis unveils her new single ‘102’, paying homage to the late Cranberries lead-singer Dolores O’Riordan.
Dolores was Lewis’ mentor on The Voice Of Ireland in 2014 – the new tribute track is a reflection of admiration, inspiration, and the lasting impact of a friendship.
The late-singer passed away six years ago by drowning due to alcohol intoxication. She was 46.
Speaking of her relationship with Dolores, Lewis says: “I auditioned for The Voice of Ireland just to get the chance to meet Dolores O’Riordan. My whole world changed when I sang 'Running Up That Hill' by Kate Bush at the Blind audition and Dolores turned around.

“She believed in me and I miss her everyday. I’ve tried to write many songs in honour of Dolores but it took some time to compose the perfect tribute. I feel grateful that I ever had the chance to experience Dolores’ magic here on earth.
“She was incredibly kind and funny and talented beyond belief. A true rock star, I was honoured to ever share space with her. Everything I feel is in ‘102’; it spilled out of my heart and into this song. Writing it was healing, making it was healing, listening to it was healing.”
In 2021, Kellie appeared on The Late Late Show to celebrate Dolores’ 50th birthday, where she sang 'Dreams' accompanied by the RTÉ Orchestra.
