Alongside the announcement of a new album, Clarkson has promised fans that new music would be coming "really soon.”
Kelly Clarkson has announced the news of upcoming album Chemistry, as well as promising her fans new music “really soon.”
Having been in the works for “close to three years now”, the singer and talk show host revealed that initially she was unsure of whether she was going to release the record, but added that she was also “very excited”.
In a video shared to social media, Clarkson explained, “It’s called Chemistry because I was trying to find a word – also, it might be one of the songs on the album – that really described the whole thing.”
“This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship. A whole relationship shouldn’t be brought down to just one thing. So there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly kinda thing going on it.”
Speaking on the forthcoming record’s title, the 40-year-old said, “Chemistry can be a really amazing, sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you. So, that’s why I named it Chemistry. I thought it was kind of the perfect title to describe the entire album.”

Letting her fans know that the album would be released “soon”, the pop singer also promised her following that new music would be coming “even sooner”.
“When I say soon, I mean really soon,” Clarkson stated.
The upcoming record follows 2017’s Meaning Of Life, and is speculated to continue charting the “arc” and subsequent fallout of her divorce with ex-husband of eight years, Brandon Blackstock, which was settled in March of last year.
