After playing at The Workman's Cellar last Wednesday, Dublin artist Kendino releases his new pop single 'Luvletters.'
'Luvletters' is the most recent song from Shankill singer, songwriter, and artist, Kendino.
Co-produced by Kendino and their producer friend Mubi, 'Luvletters' features REM$, a frequent collaborator of Kendino.
The song reminisces a relationship pre-COVID pandemic. What could have been a apocalyptic and heartbreaking romance induced by the distance lockdown demanded, Kendino overcame the strainful time apart from their partner by handwriting cute, loving notes.
The notes, which were filled with inside jokes anecdotes, not only kept the two in strong, meaningful contact, but also inspired this wonderful single.

The single was made as Kendino began branching out of his comfort zone into hip hop and alternative music. The infectiously dancey beat switch at the end is certainly a nice touch, ending the 'Luvletters' with a symbolic foray of freedom, unbound by genre.
"I love to challenge myself and dip my toes into unknown waters."
Born and raised in the Philippines, Kendino now claims Shankill, Dubin as his home. He's inspired by Johi, Tobi Lou, and Childish Gambino. Previously, he's dropped hits 'No Pro'lems' and 'SIMPIN.' His single '(Let's Be) Honest' was made with collaborators REM$ and The Kyd G.
He's played shows since 2019 across venues like Tramline, The Grand Social, and The Workman's Club. Last Wednesday, Kendino played The Workman's Cellar with bands Andromeda I and The Amniotics in support of BoringBrxwnEyes.
Stay tuned for Kendino's upcoming EP, coming out in full this summer.
