Following Kendrick Lamar's performance at this year's Superbowl half-time show, the rapper's popularity has risen to new heights.
Kendrick Lamar is the first rapper to break 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
With 100,052,025 monthly listeners, he joins The Weeknd, Ariana Grande (January 2025), Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift (May 2024), Justin Bieber (December 2025), and Mariah Carey (December 2024) as the only artists to surpass 100 million monthly listeners in Spotify history.
The rapper with the second highest amount of monthly listeners is Drake, with 77 million, followed by Travis Scott with 75 million and Eminem with 74 million.
The boost in Lamar's popularity can be attributed to both his recent Superbowl half-time show, which was the most viewed in history, and his long-running feud with fellow rapper Drake.

According to Billboard, Lamar is also set to be the fourth musician, and first rapper, to have three albums occupying the top 10 of the Billboard 200. Lamar's GNX rose to No. 1 from 4, DAMN shot from 29 to 9 and good kid, m.A.A.d city moved up from 27 to 10.
Only three musicians accomplished the feat in Billboard's history before Lamar - Taylor Swift in December 2023, Prince posthumously in May 2016, and Herb Alpert, in December 1966.
Some of Lamar's other releases have also risen in the chart, with To Pimp A Butterfly rising to 54, Mr Morale & The Big Steppers moving to 75, and the Black Panther soundtrack re-entering at 42.
