The singer will also perform with The Dublin Gospel Choir at the show
Brian Kennedy is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Meteor Ireland Music Awards, in recognition of his contribution to the Irish Music Industry. The awards, which take place Friday 19th February at the RDS, will feature a performance by Brian accompanied by the Dublin Gospel Choir.
It's been a whopping twenty years since the Belfast singer penned his signature tune ‘Captured’ back in 1990. Since then, he has represented Ireland at the Eurovision (2006), performed at the state funeral in Stormont of George Best, and sung at events in honour of Bill Clinton - an admirer of Brian’s work.
Kennedy has to date released ten albums, including his latest, Interpretations, which includes versions of thirteen of the most popular chart toppers of the past thirty years. He will embark on an Australian, New Zealand, UK and Irish Tour later this year, along with launching his autobiography in October.
