The new album will contain sounds from Pakistan, Korea and West Africa.
Texas-based trio Khruangbin have announced their next LP, which will be called Mordechai and will hit the shelves on June 26th, both digitally and physically, via Dead Oceans.
Following their Texas Sun EP with Leon Bridges, the album will be a ten track offering that promises to be more vocal-oriented than their previous work, which is heavily based in instrumental global sounds. 'Time (You and I)' is a funk track rooted in disco, and its accompanying video features Lunda Anele-Skosana and comedian Stephen K. Amos.
The trio are "temporarily grounded" due to the Coronavirus, but their touring schedule for the fall has yet to be officially cancelled.
