The EP comes about from his travels across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
One of the finest domestic releases of the year has arrived with Kildare singer David Burke’s EP, Hello Ocean. Inspired by the singer’s travels throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, the record debuted at number one on the iTunes singer-songwriter charts – Burke’s fourth time to top the charts.
Veering from the brass-driven pop of opener of ‘Barefoot’ to the delicate closing ballad ‘Pirouette’, the EP finds the singer at the top of his game, and is an excellent follow-on from his 2013 album, Where Colours Swim – which found the supremely dedicated Burke cycling 2000km around Ireland, playing a daily show in each county across 32 days!
A regular on Irish gigging circuit alongside the lauded likes of Heidi Talbot and John McCusker, Burke is a hugely gifted singer and definitely one to keep an eye on.
