Lisa Gorry has shared her second EP, It Was You (And Me).
Released as a follow-up to her 2020 debut Is It Me?, It Was You (And Me) has a hopeful message of self-love. The EP, which was arranged by Theodora Byrne, is a beautifully intricate moment of vulnerability and self-reflection about relationships.
"We recorded all the tracks for the EP in layers – guitar and vocals first, then strings, then drums and it was such a wonderful process to watch the songs develop," said Gorry.
Of the EP's last track, she said: "[Home] really came alive when the drums went in – it took on a different energy than I'd ever managed to create before and I remember blubbering tears of pure excitement when I heard the rough take!"
