The guitarist is set to tour his debut solo album
The Killers’ founding member and guitarist, Dave Keuning has announced a show at The Academy Green Room, along with a date in The Limelight 2 in Belfast. The run of dates comes after the release of Keuning’s well received debut Prismism which was released earlier this month on Thirty Tigers.
It’s been more than 17 years since Keuning formed The Killers with and eager 20-year-old Brandon Flowers. Since then, the band have released five consecutive chart-topping albums and embarked on sold-out world tours thanks to a song writing partnership which created hits ‘Somebody Told Me’, When You Were Young’, ‘Read My Mind’ among others.
Now, while still officially being a member of The Killers, Keuning is stepping out on his own. He has not been part of the touring band since Lollapalooza last August, and opted not to follow the group for the Wonderful, Wonderful Tour which ended in September.
Keuning’s debut album, Prismism, is a collection of 14 tracks – with all the instruments, save some drum parts, played by Keuning himself – which sees things from all sides, focusing on details without missing the big picture.

Keuning will perform in Dublin on Monday March 25, at the Academy Green Room with tickets on sale Friday February 1 from 10am. He will kick off the tour in Belfast on March 24.
