The multi-disciplinary artist finally launches her solo career.
The first solo record by Sonic Youth star Kim Gordon is underway. The album is called No Home Record and will be out on October 11.
It's her first album since 2018's The Switch, released as part of the group Body/Head. Gordon previously shared the solo track 'Murdered Out' in 2016, which will also be included on the record.
Today, another track from the album was released, 'Sketch Artist'. Watch the music video below:
No Home Record was produced largely by Justin Raisen (Charli XCX, Ariel Pink, Sky Ferreira) at Sphere Ranch in Los Angeles, along with contributions from Shawn Everett (Jim James, The Voidz, The War on Drugs) and composer/filmmaker Jake Meginsky (L'appel Du Vide).

Gordon said: "Why a solo record? And why now? I don't know, but it wouldn't have happened without the persistence of Justin Raisen. Living in LA the last few years, it feels like home, but the transience of the place makes it feel sometimes like no home."
