Irish indie-folk band Kingfishr have today released two new tracks ‘Go Loud’ and ’Alone’ as well as announcing string of Irish dates as part of their UK and Irish tour this October-November.

The tour will see them play seventeen venues, making it their biggest run of headline shows to date. Starting in Ireland, in Kilkenny's The Set Theatre on October 24, the tour will wrap up in Birmingham  at the O2 academy on November 21.

Today's lead single, 'Go Loud' creates that cinematic and anthemic feel that Kingfishr are known. It opens with an infectious banjo rhythm and continues through a striking chorus and builds to a crescendo finish with swelling vocals.

Speaking on ‘Go Loud’ the band said “It’s about telling the hard truths. If you don't, the weight of those words will warp you out of shape and some day you'll wake up and wonder how you ended up halfway down the wrong road.”

The trio have also released accompanying single in the form of 'Alone'.

Speaking on the melodic single, the band said “It’s about rumination of unrequited love. A story about rejection and placing yourself at the whim of someone that doesn't feel the same way. Growing up means coming to terms with this, especially for young men.”

The trio played eight sold out headline shows across the UK and Ireland earlier this year- the run of dates concluded with two shows at The Olympia Theatre in Ireland.

A live album recording of the band's 3Olympia show will be available on 19 July. The band will perform a support slot for Snow Patrol at Thomond Park Stadium coming in July.

As well as the supporting slot for Snow Patrol at Thomond Park, summer 2024 will see the band perform at festivals across Europe including Glastonbury, TRNMST, Isle Of Wight, Reading and Leeds, All Together Now, Sea Sessions, Down The Rabbit Hole and Rock Werchter.
