Kingfishr has announced their biggest headline tour to date following a sold out Irish/UK tour earlier this year.
After a sold-out run in the UK and Ireland earlier this year, including two stellar performances at Dublin’s 3Olympia, blossoming indie-folk band Kingfishr have announced their biggest headline tour to date.
Kicking off this October and running through November, the live stint will include Irish stops at TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar (25 October), Gleneagle INEC Arena, Killarney (26 October), The Set Theatre, Kilkenny (1 November), Wexford Spiegeltent (2 November), TLT Drogheda (3 November), City Hall, Cork (6 November) and Leisureland, Galway (8 November).
The Limerick-based trio have quickly established themselves as one of Ireland’s brightest rising stars, racking up over 10 million streams on Spotify in only two short years. At the forefront of the next wave of Irish contemporaries, Kingfishr’s warm tone and intimate stage presence, paired with their undeniable propensity for catchy melodies, has reached the hearts of fans across the country, thrusting them into the national spotlight.
“We'd need a week to sum up everything we're feeling,” the band said after being recently announced to perform at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival. “Having spent the last two years playing on a farm in Tipperary, it's an enormous privilege and an honour to be asked to play at a slightly less prestigious farm across the sea.”
