KNEECAP announces four tour dates in May across the Irish sea.
Belfast band KNEECAP have an announcement: four new upcoming shows.
While it's not the date for the trio's album's release, eager fans of the controversial band will be happy to know that they're coming to Wales, England, and Scotland soon enough.
KNEECAP's debut album 3CAG hit the music scene in 2018. KNEECAP only sing in Irish, a decision inspired by the story of a friend of band member Móglaí Bap refusing to speak English after getting arrested. Their first single, 'C.E.A.R.T.A,' which translates to RIGHTS in English, was the by-product of the band having a bit of fun with the idea before in snowballed from there.
Since, KNEECAP has released several singles, including 'Thart agus Thart,' 'Guilty Conscience,' and 'MAM.' They've worked with ACLAÍ Palestine, hosting a fundraiser to support a community gym and movement space in the Lajee Center, located in the Aida Refugee Camp in the West Bank.
After an interview with Lucy O'Toole, the trio even graced the cover of Hot Press's September 2022 issue.

Now on the hip hop trio's Instagram, they have revealed their plan to play a tour of four shows in May. The accompanying image was of a Molotov cocktail, Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí's faces decorating the label.
As one fan so sadly pointed out, "No London show?" KNEECAP was quick to reply "for now xx" so we'll see where that goes.
Another fan cheekily asked "does this mean the album will be out before the tour?" although that inquiry hasn't been responded to yet.
Also in May, KNEECAP will headline 'Mayhem' at Marlay Park for the two day summer music festival, Féile Nasc.
