The news follows the release of the Belfast trio's latest single, 'Sick In The Head', earlier this week
Viewers of The Late Late Show might be in for a surprise this week – with KNEECAP hinting that they're set to make an appearance on the Patrick Kielty-hosted chat show tomorrow, February 23.
Taking to social media this afternoon, the group revealed that they'll be in "the belly of the beast" on Friday – dubbing the RTÉ campus in Donnybrook as "the land of rugby heads and Sebastian Cockworths."
They shared the news alongside a video interspersing scenes from their new video for 'Sick In The Head' with iconic Late Late Show moments over the years – from John Conneely's "fastest reel in the west" in 1972, to a snippet of Kielty's own history of donning a balaclava (à la KNEECAP's DJ Próvaí) in his comedy.

Earlier this week, KNEECAP announced that their long-awaited debut album, Fine Art, is set to be released on June 14 via Heavenly Recordings – and shared 'Sick In The Head' as the LP's latest single.
“When we got into the studio with [producer] Toddla T, we scrapped every song we had and started from complete scratch," KNEECAP's Mo Chara says of the album. "T’s idea was to tell the story of Kneecap. So the record was conceived as the listener stepping into Kneecap’s world. That’s where the idea came to set whole thing in a pub. You walk into a pub at the start, there’s someone offering you a drink, there’s a singsong… really, it’s us taking you by the hand and leading you into our world.”
The announcement came in the wake of a hugely successful period for KNEECAP, following the world premiere of Rich Peppiatt's film starring and inspired by the trio, at the Sundance Film Festival. KNEECAP, which also features Michael Fassbender, won the highly coveted Audience Award in the festival's NEXT section.
There was significant controversy following last week's Late Late Show, when members of Irish Women In Harmony were requested to remove badges and clothing that expressed support for Palestine ahead of their live performance of 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.
When sharing their own Late Late Show news, KNEECAP also poked fun at RTÉ's recent payment scandals – stating that they "might do a sit in protest and try get an aul exit package..."
Fine Art is available to pre-order now. The Late Late Show airs on RTÉ One on Friday, February 23, from 9.35pm.
