“Not many people have that power,” the music legend told the band in the show’s teaser.
KNEECAP have been announced as guests on Elton John’s Rocket hour radio show tomorrow.
The band posted a teaser on X this morning, showing a snippet of the episode in which the pop legend congratulates the band, saying: “I find that your music tackles controversial subjects, and you said that unless we make a topic of it, or unless we make fun of it, it’s never gonna get any better.
“And I think you’re very brave to do that, you’re very brave to speak out – and you come from a humorous place, it just makes me happy.”
Well well a chairde Gael!

“Now you wouldn’t think that an old softie like me would be interested in KNEECAP,” Elton John concludes, “but I am, because the energy, the music, the power, [...] not many people have that power.”
The news comes just as Fontaines D.C. announced a major show in Manchester's Wythenshawe Park on Friday, August 15, 2025 with KNEECAP and English Teacher as special guests.
Fontaines’s Grian Chatten was also a guest on Elton John’s podcast last week, where the legendary musician branded them “the best band out there” right now.
KNEECAP will appear on Elton John’s Rocket Hour show on AppleMusic tomorrow at 5pm.
