"A grandma on etsy knit me this and said 'up the rebels and tiocfaidh ár lá'," Mia Khalifa says of the tricolour balaclava she's sporting in her Instagram Stories.
Taking to Instagram, Mia Khalifa has officially declared it "KNEECAPCHELLA WEEK" – with the former adult film actor-turned-social media personality/activist sharing a clip of herself in an Irish tricolour balaclava with her 27.1 million followers.
Mia, who was born in Beirut in Lebanon, before moving to the US, also explained the origins of her balaclava on her Instagram Stories:
"A grandma on etsy knit me this and said 'up the rebels and tiocfaidh ár lá'..."
Her comments come ahead of Weekend 2 of Coachella – with KNEECAP set to perform on Friday, April 18, in the Sonora tent.
Like KNEECAP, Mia has been outspoken in her support of the people of Palestine. In October 2023, Playboy announced that they had dropped her from their 'creator platform', due to her statements made in the wake of October 7.
Mia has previously retweeted KNEECAP on Twitter, including their post about Israeli forces killing 15 emergency workers in Gaza last month – which the Belfast trio described as "the most obvious war crime you'll ever see."

The online stream of KNEECAP's performance at Weekend 1 of Coachella was reportedly cut after the group led the crowd in an anti-Margaret Thatcher chant. Taking to social media the following day, KNEECAP also claimed that their "messaging on the US-backed genocide in Gaza somehow never appeared on screens either."
"Back next Friday Coachella and it'll be sorted," they added.
