The video follows a young woman's travels after the death of her partner.
Following the successful release of new single 'Wherever You Are' last week, Kodaline tug further at the heartstrings with an emotional new music video.
The video, directed by Riley Blakeway, focuses on a young couple's blossoming relationship. They always planned to travel to Morocco together, but after her partner's tragic death, a young woman decides to take the journey on her own. It's a cathartic but heartbreaking adventure as the video switches between flashbacks and new travels.
"After hearing the song for the first time, I was reminded of a close friend that lost someone very special to her and shortly after, went on a trip in search of catharsis," Blakeway said. "I then asked that friend to star in the film and the result was one of the most meaningful collaborations I've had. I can't thank Teresa [Oman] enough for the trust and vulnerability she gave me."
'Wherever You Are' is the Irish band's first release since 2018 album Politics of Living. Kodaline have since played some of the biggest shows of their career throughout 2019, from the UK all the way to Japan.
