KT Tunstall first emerged in 2004 with Eye To The Telescope and has since released a further four critically acclaimed albums. News of her upcoming Irish/UK tour comes following the release of lead single ‘The River’, from her forthcoming 6^th studio album Wax. This is the second of a trilogy of works exploring themes of spirit, body, and mind which aims to highlight our  complex relationships with physicality, entirely self/co-written and produced by  Nick McCarthy, founding member of  Franz Ferdinand. In May, she and Mike McCready, of the legendary Pearl Jam, released a cover of Tom Petty’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’ with proceeds going to Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation. KT has spent the summer touring worldwide with artists including, The Pretenders, Simple Minds and Barenaked Ladies.

This set of shows across the UK and Ireland will see Tunstall tour for the first time with an all-female band. This comes after Tunstall was awarded  the Inspirational Artist gong at the Women In Music Awards. She was also chosen as the first ever female Grand Marshal (following the likes of Sir Sean Connery) to lead April’s annual New York Tartan Week parade.
