The special edition of Born This Way will feature six reimagined versions of songs created by the LGBTQIA+ community.
Lady Gaga has announced a special 10th anniversary edition of her iconic second album, Born This Way.
The record is set to feature six new takes on the album’s tracks by artists who are representative of the LGBTQIA+ community, and will be released on June 18th.
The first single from Lady Gaga's renowned record is ‘Judas’, which has been given an alternative lease of life by New Orleans rapper Big Freedia.
“Judas was my favourite song when it came out originally, so I really wanted to cover,” Big Freedia said in a statement. “To me, ‘Judas’ is a love song about when someone does you dirty. I’ve sure had my experience with that. Who can’t relate?”
Other guest contributors featured on Born This Way: The Tenth Anniversary will be revealed in the coming weeks, but the tracklist also promises remixes of 'Marry the Night', 'Highway Unicorn', 'Yoü and I', 'The Edge of Glory', and 'Born This Way'.
