Lady Gaga's follow-up to Joanne will be postponed to an unspecified release date.
In a statement released via Instagram, the pop icon explained the reason behind her decision to postpone her first full-length release since the soundtrack to A Star Is Born.
"This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us," Gaga writes, "and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic."
Chromatica was slated for release on April 10th. With this decision, Lady Gaga has joined a growing number of artists – including HAIM and Jarv Is – who are postponing album releases. Her single "Stupid Love," which will be on the album, will have to keep the Little Monsters fed for now.
